Davon Stephens
and the family!
“Out of our sight but never from our hearts”.
Leave a loving memory or condolence note to the family letting them know you’re thinking about them.
Answer what you can and we will write a first draft for you. It is free, nothing is published, and you can change every word.
Please read it through and change anything that is not right. Nothing here is published anywhere.
For example: make it shorter, mention her garden, use a warmer tone.
Please read it through once more. When it says what you want it to say, we will ask for the service details and where to send your proof — then everything is carried into the order form for you, already filled in.
Save keeps it on this device. If you would rather carry on somewhere else, we can email you a link — it works once, and the obituary itself is never in the email.
These are laid out differently and hold different numbers of photographs, so we will not choose for you. You can change this later — nothing you have written is lost either way.
These are the details that go around the obituary itself. Leave anything blank that is not arranged yet, or that your family is not having — nothing here is required, and we will never fill in a name or a time you have not given us.
Leave this blank if there is not one, or if it is not arranged yet.
The minister, priest, celebrant or person leading the service.
Processional, scripture, selections, remarks, eulogy, recessional — in the order they will happen. One per line is easiest to read.
Names exactly as they should be printed. One per line if you prefer.
The funeral home’s name, and its address or phone number if you have them.
Where the family will gather afterwards, and when.
The cemetery or resting place.
The family’s thank-you to everyone who has helped. Write your own here, or leave it and choose one of the ready-made wordings on the next form.
Nothing is printed until you have seen the design and approved it. This is how we send it to you, and how we reach you if something needs checking.
The person we should speak to about this order.
We send the design here for you to approve before anything is printed.
In case we need to reach you quickly about the proof.
Optional — you can add this at checkout instead.
Optional, and off unless you turn it on. We will email you either way — this only lets us text as well, about this order and nothing else.
Everything you have told us is carried into the order form — the obituary, the names, the dates, the service details and your contact information. You will be able to read it all through and change anything before you order.
There are three things we still need from you on that form:

Thank you. I appreciate it.
My son and Davon met while they were in college. Davon conducted himself with great manners and respect. I gave him the title as my son and when I used to drive up to Lansing, I would make sure I had enough food for the roommates, especially Davon. He was an excellent father and was so proud of his children and he told me that he was going to make sure his children would be ok if something was to happen to him. He was a good son to me and I could call him and discuss things and he would be honest with me and check Kurqe like a big brother. I will truly miss him saying “hey ma” He was a great and intelligent person. Love you💔
Davon was not only a big brother to Kurqe, but to Kurqe sisters as well. He took care of Kurqe while they were in school and after they left school.
Thank you 💕
